I’ve been making Mermaid Tail Blankets
for a few years now
for a few years now
and finally took a the time to write it down!
I love working with big hooks and chunky yarn,

I love working with big hooks and chunky yarn,
so this pattern
works up a lot
quicker than it looks.
quicker than it looks.
And it can be adjusted for size very easily.
Important notes before you begin:
-The full pattern below is for an older child size (which works
well for teenagers too, depending on height)
-
It’s worked from the top to the bottom (decreasing as you go).
-The foundation chain to start will determine what size you
are making. (make less chains for baby size/make more chains for adult size)
-A Bernat Pop is great to use along with 2 strands of a solid colour
to match (the amount of yarn will vary depending on size, hook, and yarn
weight)
-I
use 3 strands of yarn at the same time to make this blanket extra squishy
