Could I not be any more last minute with my crochet Advent calendar!?
Life has been busy and I set a goal in
September to start and finish this....well hello end of November!
Where did 2024 go? Just flew by.
Good news though, if you are looking for a quick, very easy, beginner friendly, crochet Advent calendar.....this is it.
It's basic C2C for the long rectangle (I just used the red colour until the skein ran out and then started with green) and just a granny square for each number. That's it.
You can do this in a few days for sure....if life doesn't keep getting in the way.
But hey, it gave me a creative name for this pattern....as I'm completing this a few days before December 1st!
Use any colours you'd like and get creative with the numbers.
I found the Advent numbers online, here is the LINK.
Have fun with this and enjoy filling in all the surprises!

Optional: I completed 3 sides of each square with the
Poinsetta and
Wreath colours using just single crochets.
Attach granny squares:
Using a tapestry needle, attach each square and place them wherever you'd like.
Add numbers:
I purchased
felt numbers online that had an adhesive backing, it was so quick and easy!
Attach wood stick (optional):
Get creative on how you'd like to hang this.
I had wood stick that I've had forever, and this was the perfect time to use it.
Attach the stick by crocheting around the stick when you pull up a loop:
Insert hook in stitch, pull up a loop from under the stick, yarn over, and pull through all loops.
Weave in all the ends and enjoy this handmade Advent calendar every December.
Happy Holidays!
I'd love to see yours!
Thankyou what a fabulous idea thankyou for the pattern.
